Three Athletes In Contention for Young Sports Star Prize

English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been selected as contenders for the 2025 Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
These three athletes have been honoured for their exceptional achievements over the previous year.
Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler won the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a historic innings.
Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year.
The three contenders were announced live on a popular morning radio program.
The champion will be unveiled on the Sports Personality of the Year show on the 18th of December.
The show will be broadcast from 19:00 GMT.
Agyemang's Profile

A mere three months after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.
She was introduced as a substitute to score key tying goals in both the last eight and last four matches.
These match-saving moments led to her being named Young Player of the Tournament.
Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe.
She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the global standout among U21 women.
Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.
"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is an honour," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."
Luke Littler
Age: 18 Sport: Darts
Littler's 2025 began in spectacular fashion as - at just 17 years old - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.
He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.
His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.
His success continued - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the maiden occasion.
At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, smashing the previous record.
"To receive a nomination for the honour once more is a big honour," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."
Perrin's Profile
Age: 19 Sport: Cricket
Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and burst into the spotlight with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.
Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.
It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.
Perrin ended up as runner-up in the run-scoring charts and was named the young player of the year by the PCA.
"I'm truly honoured to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it motivates more young females to get into cricket."
