Star Denies Anti-Vax Stance Following Lending His Voice To Controversial Pandemic Film

The acclaimed actor has provided his voice to a new documentary that challenges the efficacy of immunizations and commends one-time cabinet secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Documentary's Contentious Basis

Named "Plague of Corruption," the project is inspired by a well-known publication published by Judy Mikovits, who gained notoriety during the pandemic for allegations that the illness was a result of a bad strain of the seasonal immunization.

The book's writing partner, a producer, has also written books with far-right radio host a known commentator. Heckenlively recently posted celebrating Neeson's role in the film.

An Unequivocal Denial

A spokesperson for the actor have released a comment pushing back against claims that he holds anti-vax sentiments.

"Many recognize that corruption can exist within the pharmaceutical industry, but that must not be equated to being against vaccines," the statement explains. "Neeson is not, and is not, anti-vax. His long work with the UN children's agency highlights his enduring support for public-health initiatives."

The statement continued that the star did not shape the project's messaging and that questions about its content ought to go to the producers.

Central Claims Within the Documentary

In the film, the voiceover spoken by Neeson makes several provocative statements:

  • It claims that pro-immunization voices have called for "blind obedience" to health authorities.
  • It posits that "medical science has become dangerously politicized."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is shown saying, "The major issue with vaccines is that they are not adequately tested."
  • The film further attacks Covid lockdowns, claiming they caused psychological harm that cost thousands of lives.
  • On the topic of Covid vaccines, it cites a report that they were "rushed to market" and seen as "hazardous tests."

Previous Background and Ongoing Disputes

The documentary also references a past television report about AIDS medication trials on children, which was later the focus of a correction by the network for violations of guidelines.

Recently, Kennedy called on the Centers for Disease Control to change its longstanding position that there is no causal relationship between immunizations and autism spectrum disorder. This claim is also referenced in the film, contrary to a new report from the global health body stating no connection has been found.

An Earlier Record of Advocacy

Standing in contrast to the film's message, Neeson has formerly expressed strong support for vaccines in his role as a Unicef global ambassador.

In 2022, he called vaccines as "an extraordinary triumph," noting that "The discourse about vaccines in recent years has forgotten how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in history."

The documentary finishes with Neeson's voice stating, "This isn't the conclusion of our story. Rather, it is the start of a new chapter."
