Iranian Forces State Assault on US Base in Bahrain, During Regional Military Operations.
Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Manama, as Iran launched missile attacks throughout the Middle East in response for a significant and continuing offensive against it by the US and Israel.
Huge plumes of black smoke were seen rising from an zone in the area of the command center of the American Fifth Fleet in Manama, Bahrain. The extent of any damage is uncertain and the American officials has remained silent.
Missile Defenses Activated
Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar and Kuwait - each hosting American military installations - reported they have intercepted incoming projectiles in their territorial skies.
In Doha, the Qatari Ministry of Defence stated it had intercepted several missiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the region.
IRGC Statement
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said in a statement it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the strikes on the Islamic Republic launched by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.
That US-Israeli operation - initiated at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far targeted locations associated with the Iranian leadership, with US President Donald Trump urging the people of Iran to revolt against the leadership.
Wider Impacts
In Israel, air raid sirens sounded across the country after the Israel Defense Forces stated it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates announced that the country has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems dealt with the projectiles with notable success and destroyed a several projectiles," the statement continued.
The statement noted debris fell on a populated district in Abu Dhabi, causing some structural damage and the death of one civilian.
The United States Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
