Football Expert Sutton Takes On Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Predictions

Arsenal's 10-game victorious streak came to an end by Sunderland before the international hiatus, however can the English top division frontrunners recover against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," remarked soccer specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this term, versus AI, fans and a range of guests.

For week 12, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

The singer's new record, Knees Up, is available on Friday.

Football and Family Life

Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a star of multiple charity football matches over time - but he is not planning a serious return as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a charity game the other night for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you will!

"I continue to love football, but I hurt my joint a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my child or son decides to play instead."

The singer and his wife his partner have two children, Madison and Albert, and he is ready to follow in his father's footsteps by taking on the role of their manager.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've previously told my wife that if they happen to get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday soccer side," he added.

"I observed my nephews play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a while too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I inherited it. He managed our side for two or three seasons and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from fitness issues but their offense is now more potent with Pedro and Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this game will be quite close, though. The Clarets are well organised and their only home losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

It smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third league win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

Olly's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their previous couple games - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, the Hammers secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they do look strong again.

The Hammers' sole on the road victory this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno was still that team's manager.

So, what on earth do I go with here - will it be the Hammers extending their streak under their manager, or Bournemouth bouncing back?

I will choose the Cherries, because I believe what occurred against Villa was a blip.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

The guest's prediction: Bournemouth are performing strongly but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the season began, but they have impressed a few observers under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four games.

My son told me to get Bees striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

The forward will probably score again on the weekend but I am still not going to select him or back Brentford at Amex Stadium.

They have not had much fortune on the road this season, and Brighton are always decent at home. Brentford will try to hit them on the counter-attack but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it actually proves to be rather tight. 1-1

The computer's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their past six games.

Fulham have have lots of talent in their squad but it nonetheless feels like they could be dragged into a drop zone battle.

As for Sunderland, well they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.

The away side's performance in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not seen any other team rough up the North London side like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the Black Cats here, because they are clearly capable of disrupting the hosts up too and, the last time they were in west London, they beat the Blues at the end of last month.

But I am not going to choose that. Rather, I really need to carry on going against the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their positive outcomes because they evidently love to defy my predictions.

Looking at the home side's at Craven Cottage record, the only team they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Their manager's team will be absolutely eager for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will pick up three much-needed points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

Olly's choice: I know the visitors are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a bad run... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at home this season. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough fixture to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in all competitions, but could they be one of the sides who benefit from the {international break|
